Full day at the main festival of the Inca times, now reconstructed with the best Quechua actors.
On the sunrise, the procession gathers in Coricancha, the Temple of the Sun, where they address to the rising sun. After that, the ceremony starts moving towards the Plaza de Armas, following the path of Inca Pachacuti, laid down more than 600 years ago.
Soon the procession reaches Sacsayhuaman, the enormous fortress on the top of the hill, where the Great Inca gives a speech to people and the sun, and the llama is being sacrificed. Then the main festivity is closing down and we'll head back to the centre of the Cusco for afterparties and side festivities.
